Birth Center Site Tour #2

PeaceHealth hosted Lane County Friends of the Birth Center for a second tour of the new Nurse-Midwifery Birth Center on January 15. More than twenty people came out including expecting parents and returning parents with little ones in tow.

Much has been accomplished since our first tour in October and it shows in the beautiful, well-conceived details throughout the house.

The best news of all? Construction is on time and on budget, meaning a Mother’s Day 2010 opening is in sight. More good news? The Birth Center has a new Certified-Nurse Midwife, Hilary Prager, who we enjoyed meeting on the tour. Welcome Hilary!

Friends of the Birth Center thanks PeaceHealth for having us - we would love to come again.

During construction, Birth Center services are located on the second floor of the PeaceHealth Medical Group Downtown Eugene clinic. In addition to prenatal and birth services, the Birth Center provides women, babies and families with a drop-in well-baby clinic, extensive lactation support, childbirth education, centering groups and well-woman appointments.
