PeaceHealth Midwifery Services has certified nurse midwives who work in collaboration with PeaceHealth obstetricians at both the Nurse Midwifery Birth Center and the Prenatal Clinic. They provide care during pregnancy, labor, and birth and help with breastfeeding in addition to well-woman care. Care is provided regardless of a woman's ability to pay. A recent piece penned by Birth Center Midwife Michele Peters-Carr for The Register-Guard provides additional information about services.
